PowerUp PD Power Tower

Overview

This project demonstrates how a standard multi-port charging station can be scaled into a full retail collection. Taking a physical hardware tower as my starting point, I built a complete commercial visual language from the ground up. This case study showcases how I handled the launch rollout, including the product photography, feature callouts, lifestyle scene staging, multi-colorway product systems, and final retail packaging design.

Deliverables

• Product Visualization
• Feature Communication
• Product System
• Lifestyle Imagery
• Packaging Design
• Commercial Launch Assets

PRODUCT INTAKE

01

I began with a physical sample of the charging tower to review its structure and dimensions. My main objective during this initial phase was to evaluate the placement of the ports, the indicator lights, and the heat vents so I could set a precise, high-fidelity visual direction for all the upcoming design assets.

FEATURE COMMUNICATION

02

To make the device's technical specifications clear and approachable for customers, I designed a set of clean feature diagrams. These visuals easily map out the fast-charging ports, the USB-A and USB-C layouts, the heat dissipation vents, and the power indicator light so the product benefits can be understood at a single glance.

PRODUCT SYSTEM

03

To maximize the product's retail appeal, I developed a scalable colorway strategy. I curated a spectrum of options that ranges from classic neutrals like white and cool gray to fresh, expressive pastels like sage green and lavender, ensuring the line has a broad appeal across different customer demographics.

LIFESTYLE & USE CASES

04

A major focus of this case study was visualizing the product in daily use. I created lifestyle scenes that display the charging tower seamlessly integrated into everyday desk workspaces, nightstands, and bedside setups, clearly demonstrating how it keeps multiple personal devices organized and powered up.

RETAIL & LAUNCH ASSETS

05

Finally, I brought all the design elements together to create the market-ready launch assets. I designed the promotional web banner, developed the original print-ready packaging layouts for production, and created high-fidelity renders of the actual physical retail boxes to show how the final product would look on store shelves.
